Hi my name is Heidi. I am an Autistic, disabled mum and independent consultant based in Hobart. I work nationally to advance gender equity, intersectional disability rights and neuro-inclusion across policy, practice and community.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of gender equality and disability reform — shaping and contributing to major national initiatives including the National Autism Strategy, the Disability Royal Commission, and multiple reviews of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). My work bridges lived experience and technical expertise, bringing together advocacy, policy, research and systems design to create change that lasts.
My approach combines human rights law, co-design and intersectional feminist frameworks, ensuring reforms and programs are inclusive, evidence-based and grounded in real-world experience. I’m deeply committed to making sure disabled people — particularly women, children and neurodivergent communities — are not left invisible in the systems meant to support them.
Alongside my consultancy, I sit on several national and state advisory boards focused on disability policy, gender-based violence prevention and inclusive service delivery. These roles keep me connected to emerging issues and ensure my work reflects both community voices and governance experience.
Whether you’re developing policy, engaging communities or building inclusive systems, I’ll work with you to translate rights and principles into practical, meaningful outcomes
